︎︎︎Nevzat Sayın

Born in 1954 in Hatay, Nevzat Sayın graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Architecture at Ege University in 1978. He conducted a master’s thesis on social housing at the same institution until 1980, followed by postgraduate architectural education through an apprenticeship at Bektaş Özyönetim Architecture Workshop until 1984. He also engaged in knowledge and experience enhancement trips until 1986. Since then, he has formed his own architectural practice, NSMH, while continuing his architectural work through various office structures.

In addition to his architectural work under the name NSMH, Sayın is a founding member of the Istanbul Bilgi University Graduate Program in Architecture. He also serves as an academic advisor at MEF University and İzmir Institute of Technology (IYTE) and contributes to architectural education at various institutions in Turkey. Since 2000, he has led Yahşibey Architecture Workshops, an alternative architectural education program that has been hosted under the Emre Senan Design Foundation since 2006. Summer schools, conferences, juries, and workshops for architecture students remain significant components of his pedagogical approach.

A portion of his work includes writings, interviews, exhibitions, and publications related to architecture and art. (2025, YKY).
