This building we designed 15 years ago was not constructed, as the one in the Dudullu Industrial Park had taken priority.  When we began revisiting the project, the functions had changed, but the land data remained the same.
Set in a property with a level difference of 25 meters and surrounded by a road on three sides, the building has loading racks at four different points. By separating functions of different concentrations and needs, we created units that were contained in the same building but could work as different factories without bothering one another. So, this solution could be interpreted as transforming the disadvantage of height level into a range of possibilities.
Largely made with reinforced concrete due to functions and conditions of construction,  the building’s large openings were designed in steel—a decision that culminated in the optimization of time and construction technology.
In meeting the building’s demands, which changed during the project phase and seemed likely to change during its use as well, it was decided that a large portion of the building would be covered with a simple sinusoidal plate to avoid wearing off. It is possible to reach every point of the walls, re-lay the installation pipes, and open new windows thanks to the catwalks between the building and this shell set 1 m away from it. Therefore, part of the shell is perforated, transparent. This colorful shell is also the structural sign standing at the intersection of words such as printing house, paper, and ink.
